reader's letter

It was our task to write a letter about an article about immigration. This is my result:

To the Editor of:  “Could Switzerland’s Multicultural Soccer Team Make the Country Regret Immigration Quotas? “ ,Harrison Stark

No, it won’t let the Swiss people regret their quotas, because this initiative was meant to limit the income of people, not to throw the people out of the country. That means that the Swiss Team isn’t affected by now.  Maybe in a few years, but first we have to wait which way the initiative is implemented.
I think that many people only sad “yes”, because they wanted to show the Swiss government that they should do something against the immigration. The initiative is more used as a sign for the leading persons. Every city grows more and more. Now many people start to think about the future of Switzerland. We don’t have that much space like other countries.
Every Swiss knows, that the soccer team isn’t really Swiss. I’m a Swiss teenager and in school we often joke about the “Swiss” team. We were born into “that” Switzerland, we didn’t see the matches, when there were only 100% Swiss people on the field. That’s different for the older inhabitants of our country. They don’t know names like Shaqiri, Senderos, Inler and so on. For the younger generation it’s more normal, because we know many children with names from other countries.
Another fact is, that to be a good soccer player is the fastest way to immigrate into a country. That’s also the case in Switzerland. Many people wait to get a Swiss passport, but if you are football player and the Swiss wants you, you are have one very fast. There are some memes on which you can see a Swiss politician and Ronaldo. The Swiss politician says: “I should really immigrate Ronaldo.” That’s one of many jokes in this direction.

It's no problem for the Swiss people to have such a multicultural national soccer team. We will see what the futur brings.
